Episode #205 – Building Boxes
SYNOPSIS:
An in-depth four-part feature on how to build hive equipment. The feature starts with box fabrication instructions. It then overviews paint systems and the painting process. The third part is all about building frames. It ends with a short aside about an alternative to the conventional process.
This is a very comprehensive deep dive into the full process all in one place and is based upon my decade + experience in painting hive setups as well as my background in fabrication and painting from being a sign-shop owner operator in a previous life.
Given how long it is, it might make sense to listen to the different parts individually, but if you have the fortitude to sit through the whole thing – then kudos to you for the perseverance. I have taken the time to flag every topic below in case someone wishes to come back after the fact and brush up on something, or get reacquainted at a future time after hearing the episode for the first time. I hope this provides to be a useful guide for knowing how to ‘build boxes’.
