Hello Kevin. I am really looking forward to your follow up poly episode. I am considering year round hives in the Paradise Bee Box 6 frames, but I prefer medium size for their weight. One issue with these poly boxes in medium is that they do not have the bottom plastic profile. I have contacted Paradise and they have no plans to add them at this time but said they would pass my request on to the design team.

I hear more and more people considering poly hives and it is one of the reasons why I decided to do more work with them. I did not notice about the lack of the plastic guard on the medium until you mentioned it here so thanks for sharing that. It is an odd choice, I would speculate that perhaps there was some some engineering limitation as it seems an odd choice. Glad you put in the request and perhaps they will consider the feedback.
