Learning to MEAD Presentation

This one is in support of the a talk presented to the Essex County Beekeepers Association alongside Bob Kloss on October 11th, 2022.

We presented on our background and process for learning how to make mead following the staggered nutritional approach (SNA).

The goal of the presentation is:

  • Build a case for making mead following the process of supporting the yeast with nutrient add-ins.
  • Express how the nutrient add-ins benefit the product
  • Talk about the factors that contribute to the overall quality of the mead (yeast selection, instructions, etc.)
  • Provide a starter recipe that has the ratio of ingredients and how to add them.
