The Top Ten List (of things learned last year)
- Drone Brood Frames are a good idea but require management
- Hygiene means more then I once thought.
- Powdered sugar is a good idea
- You need to rotate out old comb.
- Different races of bees are better suited for different conditions
- You need about 10 frames of honey to overwinter
- Bees stay warm through bee aerobics
- Queens don’t last because of many factors: mites, nosema, breeding, and chemicals in the hive. They are sick.
- You probably need to feed your bees
- It takes 40 days to make a forager for honey.
